Abortion commotion

Hospitals ill-equiped as doctors refuse to conduct abortions.

Women in Portugal will be able to undergo voluntary termination of pregnancies at government or private hospitals.

However, only 14 of the country's 40 state hospitals with obstetric services have requested a supply of the abortion inducing drug (mifespristone) while a vast number of other venues are still awaiting the arrival of equipment such as suction curettes.
